Essentially they’re asking you for a discount.

Of course, you can’t just give discounts every time somebody asks for it!
Otherwise, you will start leaking money.
And if your keep leaking money long enough, you will soon go out of business!
So… What do you do instead?
Instead of making it a catfight or turning it into an ego battle when you can only lose because the customer can always walk away, sell like a salesman!
As a salesman, your job is to make sure that he pays more and yet walks away happier!

First of all, you have to understand the situation and get your mindset right!
First of all you have to understand that paying is not necessarily a better deal for them
Let’s say you wanna shop that sells the best samosas in town
Yes! you get a lot of customers but you want to grow faster…
One way to do that is – decrease pricing, which will make it more affordable hence increasing the demand, therefore increasing the overall revenue and business growth!
That logic is wrong
Because by decreasing pricing you are giving up on profit.
That’s money that you reinvest into your business to maintain and improve your quality. The thing that your customer love about you and come back to you for!
If you decrease your profit
- You decrease your budget for improvement
- Hence the quality of the product that the customers will now get will suffer
- Which will then reduce the demand, and
- Create a downfall for your business!
Therefore
In order to stay in business and to keep providing quality to your customers you must make a decent profit

This is just the mindset that you need to understand and adopt, to be able to sell without needing to use ‘massive discounts‘ every time they put an objection…
How do you convince people that think more is a better choice for them
You can’t tell them the mindset stuff that I just told you! That’s for you to understand and adopt. But they don’t care about you or your business. Hands in order to convince them –
- First, you have to ask the right questions and understand what they really want
- Then you have to show them that this is exactly what you have
- Finally, you will have to handle their objections like a pro
